Public Health Advisory for Lovewell Reservoir in Jewell County
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is continues to advise the public that water may be unsafe for people and animals at Lovewell Reservoir in Jewell County. While harmful algae are still detected, levels are improving and the advisory has been modified to allow for boating and fishing at the reservoir. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) announced that Lovewell will be open to accommodate for boating and fishing.
